Coordinate EHS&S programs at the plant level by conducting employee EHS&S training, performing EHS&S inspections, and maintaining documentation of all EHS&S related activities. Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental/state/company regulations.

EMPLOYEE SAFETY TRAINING

• · Conduct required environmental, health, safety, and security training for employees

INCIDENT INVESTIGATION

• Demonstrate effective investigative skills to perform root cause analysis and prevention of safety issues

INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE MONITORING

• Plan and conduct the plant’s industrial hygiene exposure assessment and yearly sampling strategy
• Communicate results of industrial hygiene surveys to employees

HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT

• Ensure waste is managed in a manner consistent with all applicable governmental regulations
• Conduct weekly audits of waste storage areas
• Assist with Hazardous Waste activities

SAFETY COMMITTEE

• · Serve as an active member of the plant Safety Committee and drive safety and environmental improvements utilizing committee members

OTHER

• · Record wastewater data daily and collect water samples weekly
• Conduct environmental and safety inspections/audits to ensure safe working environment
• Coordinate with contractors or vendors providing environmental or safety service
• Provide safety briefings or guidance to contractors performing plant work in conjunction with Maintenance
• Support waste reduction initiatives
• Make recommendations for safety or environmental improvements
• Abide by all Company and OSHA safety standards set for work areas
• Have a Quality mindset and follow all required Quality processes (document management, etc.)

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate Degree from accredited college in Science/Engineering/Safety field preferred
